Job Description:

The Defense group requires a qualified Program Manager to support a large, enterprise scale multi-mode biometrics implementation project. The Program Manager will manage local life cycle systems and software engineering activities including design, systems engineering, development, integration, testing, training, security, and deployment, as well as current system operations (e.g., help desk, systems and database administration and sustainment activities). Responsible for financial, schedule, and quality of program activities. Responsible for collaborating with engineers, customers, and management to provide solutions that satisfy time, cost, and technical parameters of the program. Analyzes customer problems and provides technical advice regarding services, product, and IT solutions. Guides, directs and protects the technical integrity of system and service. Coordinates and/or resolves all customer-related or technical quality/engineering problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Ensures that requirements are managed, systems are developed, integrated, tested, and deployed, and service or system performance issues are appropriately managed (escalating as needed) and responds to changing client requirements. Establishes management methodologies and ensures their application and utilization. Ensures that transition services are delivered within defined service levels and/or consistent with established schedules. Directs team leads, secures resources, and ensures integration with broader PMO team members. Tracks, monitors, and reports on program status, progress, and performance against budgets.

Experience/Skills required:

Program Management experience for large, complex technical software development or systems integration programs including architecture, design, development, COTS integration, testing, security, rollout and implementation. A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as IT, Financial Management, or Business Administration. Minimum of 15 years in related field and at least 7 years of experience managing software or systems integration programs.

Must be a US citizen. Security clearance required. Must be able to qualify for a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Relocation Assistance Available.
