Quanta's engineering team is well-experienced in a broad range of engineering disciplines. All drawings, technical manuals, specifications, test procedures, maintenance plans, and other documentation are prepared with sufficient information and supporting detail to allow for procurement, fabrication, installation, integration, operation, testing, and maintenance.
Quanta's fabrication/installation drawing packages include: layout details, component parts breakdown, cabling diagrams, block diagrams, signal flow diagrams, master lists of material and equipment, schematics, operating instructions, as-built drawings, test procedures, maintenance plans, and floor plans. The documentation includes identification of required hardware to effect installation; information on limitations of space and clearance requirements; data on limitations of interconnecting criteria such as maximum length of cables, piping, and tubing; environmental considerations such as air conditioning, heating, and ventilation; electromagnetic compatibility, shock, and vibration requirements; and human engineering considerations. The system design and equipment installation plans are prepared in accordance with standards set forth by the task, delivery order, or contract.
Installation Design Plans (IDPs), as prepared by Quanta, define the complete installation of a system and its impact on the end user and on the physical plant. Drawings included in the IDPs are prepared to scale, using Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) technology. Floor plans are presented in sufficient detail and scale to adequately define the installation and its interface with the building structure; electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems; fire protection systems; security systems, etc. When necessary, elevation drawings are also included to define clearances; clearances for door swings, maintenance space, and pedestrian traffic are included. Master lists of equipment and material, cable runs, power panel locations, and telephone connections are also provided.
Quanta has provided and successfully proven its capability to implement small and large-scale turnkey Electronic Security System projects for the U.S. Government. In response to these assigned tasks, Quanta Systems has provided engineering/design, documentation, procurement, manufacturing, electronic and mechanical assembly, in-house testing, quality control, packaging and shipping, site preparation, installation, and field operational and acceptance testing, as required. Quanta has performed installation tasks in accordance with applicable Statements of Work (SOW’s), Base Electronic System Engineering Plans (BESEPs), and other similar tasking documents. Quanta has consistently demonstrated its capability to interpret and work to the level of the specifications, standards, and procedures required for each assigned task.
Our installation design team is augmented by our computer-based, AutoCAD drafting staff, technicians, technical writers, and graphic artists.
