Quanta provides world-wide installation and integration services in support of various customers. The installations/integrations are performed in accordance with contract specifications and include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing qualified technicians with the appropriate training and clearances to perform installation/de-installation tasks.
- Providing all electronic equipment and general purpose electronic test equipment as specified in the delivery orders.
- Packing and shipping installation equipment and material from Quanta's plant to the installation site as directed by the delivery orders.
- Coordinating with customer representatives on all matters pertaining to the task, including: milestone accomplishment status, work and storage areas, security procedures, working hours, and personnel changes.
- Hosting pre-installation coordination meetings to review the implementation plan with the installation team to familiarize all concerned with the plan of action; to review the installation package; and to clarify the installation criteria and any special considerations.
Quanta supplements all field installation/integration teams with comprehensive in-plant engineering support services; our installation/integration crews are supported by a technical staff of electrical/electronic and mechanical engineers, software engineers, designers, drafters, technicians, assemblers, technical writers, etc.
Installations/integrations accomplished by Quanta conform to the documents referenced in the applicable Statement of Work (SOW) for each order. Using the SOW and listed references as guidance, the installations are implemented in accordance with the Quanta-prepared, customer-approved Installation Design Plan (IDP).
Quanta's installation/integration efforts may involve facility modifications and/or minor construction in support of various requirements. These efforts include remodeling and/or modification of existing structures and facilities. Facilities may include mobile and permanently installed vans, rooms, buildings, SCIF’s, and screen rooms. Quanta also performs all tests necessary to demonstrate that applicable criteria have been satisfied.
In support of the wide variety of installation/integration support services currently being provided, Quanta maintains comprehensively equipped off-site installation tool kits. Each kit is valued at approximately five thousand dollars and contains a complete selection of hand and power tools and is supplemented with electronic test equipment for the test, calibration, and checkout of completed installations. Special purpose tools or test equipment are leased as task requirements dictate; all requirements for the use of unique tools or test equipment are documented at the outset of each individual task.
